The project
DIGITELD
In 2024 we put our shoulders to the wheel for an important project funded by the European Union. The goal is to improve Media & Information Literacy (MIL) and Digital Literacy (DL) among older people, particularly those over 65 in Belgium and Italy, to combat digital misinformation through two specialized training programs.
A European-scale action
In collaboration with esteemed academics and journalists, we will develop a large-scale open online course (MOOC) that will serve as a central learning resource. The course will focus on identifying fake news, especially on critical topics such as health and political propaganda.

The SBBJ wants to promote the journalistic profession, first by analysis and documentation of the journalistic field and then by education and awareness. The goal is a better recognition of the profession of journalist.
